Innovative Catch Basin Filtration System Helps Protect Environment

Findlay, Ohio – November 26, 2002: Hancor, Inc. is pleased to announce that the Hancor family of products has expanded further to include the FloGard+Plus™ Catch Basin Filtration System.

With increasing emphasis placed on the treatment of storm water, FloGard+Plus provides unparalleled pollutant and debris capture at point of entry into storm water management systems. FloGard+Plus’ tough geogrid basket and stainless steel frame construction ensures these products will provide many years of service. FloGard+Plus products are also designed to fit a wide variety of styles and sizes of catch basins.

Without retaining water, the FloGard+Plus filter liner collects the debris and trash we see everyday. FloGard+Plus also collects the trash we don’t readily see; organic material such as grass and shrub clippings which may contain herbicides and pesticides. FloGard+Plus collects these potentially dangerous pollutants, as well as harmful hydrocarbons like grease and oil, before they enter our waterways and harm the environment.

The FloGard+Plus dual bypass feature effectively filters pollutants out of storm water runoff, but does not block maximum design flows. It will capture debris and pollutants during low flows, and allow high flows to bypass the device while retaining already accumulated debris and pollutants.
