ADS Awards Hancor’s Accomplishment

Findlay, OH, August 28, 2003: Friends and supporters of the Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA) 2003 Summer Meeting gathered Friday, August 15, at the Niagara Falls County Club in Lewiston, N.Y for an afternoon of golf and a post-game banquet.

The conditions were terrific for golf and this was evident by the quality of the scoring on the day. In all, 140 people (137 men, 3 women) participated in the festivities, including Hancor’s Recreation Sales Team: Doug Zak and Stephanie Zimmerman.

Participants in the golf outing while networking with builders, suppliers and consultants vied for individual awards, and broke into groups to compete in a scramble team competition. Much to everyone’s surprise, our own Stephanie, while playing, managed to crush one of her drives straight and long down the difficult fairway and win the tournaments longest drive competition.

The prize, awarded at the banquet activities later that evening, ironically was kindly donated by Mike Garbs, National Recreation Representative for Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS).

As Stephanie accepted her prize of a $200 wine gift certificate the other women attending the banquet cheered with excitement. Yes a lady had beaten out 137 male golfers for this honor. Additionally the men in the room were cheering as well, all out of pure respect for Stephanie’s golfing talent.

Congratulations Stephanie on your successful industry first-impression and obtaining this high golfing achievement!
