Notes:
1. ML is a Class IVA soil. However, the Ms value is more closely aligned with Class III materials as shown in this table.
2. IVA material has limited application and can be difficult to place and compact; use ONLY with the approval of a soil expert.
3. Ms values presented in the table assume that the native material is at least as strong as the intended backfill material. If the native material is not adequate, it may be necessary to increase the trench width. Refer to the Installation section (Section 6) for information on overexcavation.
4. Ms can be interpolated for intermediate cover heights.
